How would you describe yourself?
A busy mom of two boys with a passion for cooking, shopping, organizing, volunteering, stationery, invitations, personalized gifts, remembering birthdays and anniversaries!

How long have you been involved in your business?
Sunshine Paperie “opened” in 2007

Why did you choose your particular business?
I developed a passion for cards, invitations, stationery and gifts while working part-time at a Hallmark store through my high school years and when I was home from college. I enjoyed getting to know the customers and helping them find exactly what they were looking for. As I entered the business world and, particularly since my husband and I had our first child, William, my search for quality paper products was often frustrated by not being able to find good customer service when I wanted it and where I wanted it. When we decided I would stay home with William, I chose to embark on my childhood passion and Sunshine Paperie was born!

What keeps you motivated?
My desire to help people – primarily busy moms find fun personalized products easily online. I also love the how social media is changing the way business is done and more and more people are shopping online!

Tell us a little about your family.
I have been married to my husband Trey for 6 years. We have 2 boys – William who is 3 ½ and Bennett is 15 months.

How do you prioritize family and your business?
Family is always 1st! Naptime and bedtime have become my “work time”. Having an online store is a blessing along with my iphone. I am able to keep up with things while we are on the go!

Where do you see yourself in 5yrs?
An even busier mom with 2 boys and my online store! I hope to continue growing by business with the help of social media!

Biggest life lesson learned?
Tough one – I seem to learn something new every day. I do know that life is short and I need to live every day to the fullest.

Biggest lesson you’ve learned in business?
You get out of it what you put into it. There are days I have to sit down and write out my plan of action. Once I write things down it becomes more real!

What is your secret to success?
Loving what I do and striving to do it better!

All Entrepreneurs encounter bad days. How do you handle yours?
I take a step back and look at the big picture. I know tomorrow is a new day and I just need to rethink my plan. I also see how happy my family is with me being home and THAT puts everything into perspective!

What was your sweetest success story?
This was a personal success for me! When I decided to start my own business the next step was coming up with a name. I wrote pages and pages of names and either the url was taken or the business name had already been filed. Then literally out of the blue I said “Sunshine Paper” – Sunshine is the nickname my husband gave me and “Paper” was for everything paper. While I was standing in line to file my business name I was about to hand over the form when I mentioned to my mom – who was with me – a site that was “something paperie”….and right then I said Sunshine Paperie – quickly added an ie to my form as I was handing it to the clerk…and that is how Sunshine Paperie began!

How do you relax?
I love to watch reality television and read magazines.

Show Us Your Business Wednesday Week 2

Thank you for joining us for Week Two of Show Us Your Business Wednesday!

Why did you choose your particular business?
I needed something I could do from home as I homeschool my DD and have poor health.

What keeps you motivated?
My family and friends.

Tell us a little about your family.
I celebrated my 10th anniversary with year with my husband who is also my best friend. We have on 9-year-old daughter whom I homeschool. We are content spending time together but love being with friends as well.

How do you prioritize family and your business?
Family will always come before business. Yet I am happy my business can contribute to my family's needs.

Where do you see yourself in 5yrs?
I would love to be able to still be blogging but for it to be established enough so that I can dedicate a bit less time to it so I can focus on quality time with my family.

Biggest life lesson learned?
I am a capable woman and not 'just a mom'.

Biggest lesson you’ve learned in business?
You will only get out what you put in.

What is your secret to success?
Having a supportive family.

All Entrepreneurs encounter bad days. How do you handle yours?
Take a break. I need to get up, do some other things, and start again later.

What was your sweetest success story?
Having a small company get a comment on their Facebook page for an order just because I posted a couple pictures on my site.

Play board games with my daughter or iPhone games with my husband.

If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change the way you think about it.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I am a stay-at-home mother of one and I hope to provide deals and reviews that the every mother can appreciate both nationally and locally in the San Francisco Bay Area. For those wanting to blog,be patient as your business will not grow overnight. If it does, it will be too much for you to handle anyway.

How would you describe yourself?  I'm a fun, happy, growing, learning, short, family-loving lady who likes to make a difference.

How long have you been involved in your business? 2 years

Why did you choose your particular business?  I have 3 great and busy kids, they were growing much faster then I could scrapbook them and I realized what an expensive hobby it was. I looked for months for a faster, funner, less expensive.

What keeps you motivated?  Everything! When something goes right its so encouraging, When things aren't going right, I want to prove that I can do better!

Tell us a little about your family.  I have an amazing husband and 3 kids 6 and younger. They are my everything!

How do you prioritize family and your business? Family is first, we share goals together and help each other reach our goals.
Where do you see yourself in 5yrs? Growing and learning. Stronger in our family and in my business knowing I've blessed thousands of other families grow too!

Biggest life lesson learned? Everyone is unsure of something. Be loving, understanding and sensitive to everyone, it may be a really hard day for them.

Biggest lesson you’ve learned in business? Imagine your success and be willing to work for them, In the end its all about how many people you've served.

What is your secret to success?  When you begin to feel stretched too thin, spend some time on yourself. Recharge your batteries and smile, that is your first job before you talk to any one else.

All Entrepreneurs encounter bad days. How do you handle yours?  I have positive people who support me who I can talk too, watch inspiring stories on youtube, read a "you can do it" type of book, or get on www.SharingHeritage.com and make something!

What was your sweetest success story? When one of my 82 year old clients called me to tell me her life story (we had worked on together) had arrived in the mail, She expressed what it meant to her and to her family, her husband said "That is a true Heirloom."

Show Us Your Business Instant Replay

We will be back next week doing an Instant Replay and starting from the beginning again! Please tell your friends about Show Us Your Business Wednesday and come back next week to introduce yourself and your business!

Earlier in the summer, we started Show Us Your Business Wednesday and I appreciate all of the ladies that  participated.  Since we have some new followers, we would like to try again and let's see if we can get this shared in the business community.  If you didn't join us before, no problem, we would love to have you!  If you participated in the first go around, feel free to link up your previous links and browse around the new businesses.

How would you describe yourself?I consider myself to be somewhat of an outgoing person - I love to talk to people and be involved in whatever activities I can! I love to read (Twilight series!!), spend time with my family, watch Reality TV and I LOVE roller coasters!

How long have you been involved in your business? I have been with Wildtree since April 2009

Why did you choose your particular business? My previous direct sales company went out of business and while on Facebook, someone posted something about Wildtree - I wanted to do something food related, so I looked into Wildtree. I love the fact that it's all natural and allows me to make healthy meals that are also quick and easy to prepare!

What keeps you motivated? I continue to stay motivated by keeping in touch with my Sponsor and my "buddy" (I am hooked up with another representative so that we can hold each other accountable for what we say we are going to do...). The desire to stay at home with my girls is also a strong motivator!

Tell us a little about your family. I have 2 wonderful girls. Hannah is 8 and Hailey is 2. My husband Mort works as a business analyst at T. Rowe Price.

How do you prioritize family and your business? Family always comes first - I mark off our family activities on my calendar first, then I book parties around that.

Where do you see yourself in 5yrs? I hope that I am still with Wildtree as a Senior Leader -and with that, I hope that we are debt free!

Biggest lesson you’ve learned in business? You can't rely on your current group of friends or family to grow your business!

What is your secret to success? Never give up!

What was your sweetest success story?In business - I'm still waiting for my sweetest success story, but I am confident it will be soon, and hopefully it will be me promoting to team leader (or higher). In life-it is finding my true love and having 2 wonderful daughters!

How do you relax? I spend time with my family, read, listen to music, watch Reality TV and play on Facebook.
