This morning, while looking for something else on the web, I happened to come across Jeff Ballard's post, How to Facebook 'Like' Your Google Search.

Facebook is everywhere and so is that Like Button! Now, it can be in your Google Search Results thanks to the developer, Crossroads.

What I liked about this tool:

1. You can see how many people has liked your particular search result.
2. You can see pictures of your own Facebook friends who have liked your particular search result.
3. You can turn it off if you want to.
4. It installs in seconds and so easy!

We’re looking for bloggers and socialpreneurs who have interesting tips and advice on building a successful business and/or blog. Whether you are a new socialpreneur, or someone that offers tips and tutorials on your blog, and you have something of interest to share and would like to contribute to our growing community and grow yours in the process also, let us know! (Example: You host tutorials and you would like to share your expertise with another community, please apply!)

To apply to be part of the Socialpreneur Team Bloggers, simply connect with me, Teresa via email at teresalolvera@sbcglobal.net. Please include in the subject line: Team Bloggers and provide your contact info (name, website, twitter link, facebook fan page, blog name, telephone number, and email address) and your proposed area of interests – basically, what you would like to share with the community.

When I first started doing social media marketing, I met someone for coffee. We were introduced by a mutual friend. I thought we were just two working women meeting for coffee. She brought along her business partner. By the end of the hour, I had a client. That woman has led me to most of my other clients.

How do you relax?
Vacation - a couple times a year.

Would love to... but it's Friday night. I'm tired.

No - I focus on my clients, leaves very little time for my own business. My blog is where I post news. My newsletters go specifically to clients only.

Last summer, my daughter, Holly, (take a peek at her blog here) and I were talking about how much we missed listening to Jeff and Jer's Tell Me Something Good each morning on the San Diego radio station Star 94.1.

During "Tell Me Something Good" listeners would call in each morning to tell Jeff & Jer what they were happy about that day or what they were excited about or looking forward to. For example, they would share that they got a bonus at work, that they are going to Las Vegas for the weekend, that they are getting their driver's license - or anything else that they are happy and excited about!

So we thought it would be fun to start a blog post each Thursday where all of us could share what we are looking forward to and so that we could hear what is going on with our friends.

Then last night I discovered that Shopper Gal is doing the same thing over at her fun blog so I asked her if she would like to merge into one so that our readers could find more good around us!

We both agree that Thursdays are a great day to do this each week since a lot of people are excited about their weekend plans or something that has happened that week!

How it Works

Welcome to our Ninth Show Us Your Business Wednesday of 2011!

A Little Background
Earlier in the summer, we started Show Us Your Business Wednesday and I appreciate all of the ladies that participated. Since we have some new followers, we are going at it again and let's see if we can get this shared in the business community. If you didn't join us before, no problem, we would love to have you! If you participated in the first go around, feel free to link up your previous links and browse around the new businesses.

How it Works
Every Wednesday we will have a specific topic about our business. At the end of the post, their will be a Linky so you can link up your Show Us Your Business Posts to share with the rest of us.

This will we be a weekly feature where Socialpreneurs (as defined, by yours truly, in the Urban Dictionary, as "WAHMs (dads too), Moms in Business, Etsy Shop Owners, Small Business Owners, Mompreneurs, Home Based Business Owners, Direct Sales Consultants and Bloggers who utilizes social media to promote their business, brand, or blog.") will be sharing different aspects of their business.

When It Begins
1. Show Us Your Business Wednesdays will re-begin on January 5, 2010 and will run until further notice.
2. A new Show Us Your Business Wednesday with linky will go up here at Society of Socialpreneurs every Tuesday evening sometime between 8pm and 11:59pm Pacific Standard Time. The linkys will close 5 days later on Sunday evening, so you’ll have all week to add your post or save it for the following Tuesday.

Welcome to our eighth Show Us Your Business Wednesday of 2011!

A Little Background
Earlier in the summer, we started Show Us Your Business Wednesday and I appreciate all of the ladies that participated. Since we have some new followers, we are going at it again and let's see if we can get this shared in the business community. If you didn't join us before, no problem, we would love to have you! How it Works

Happy Tell Us Something Good Thursday!

I am excited to announce that I will be co-hosting Tell Us Something Good Thursday with Shopper Gal and my personal blog at Single Mom and a Teenaged Girl!

Last summer, my daughter, Holly, (take a peek at her blog here) and I were talking about how much we missed listening to Jeff and Jer's Tell Me Something Good each morning on the San Diego radio station Star 94.1.

During "Tell Me Something Good" listeners would call in each morning to tell Jeff & Jer what they were happy about that day or what they were excited about or looking forward to. For example, they would share that they got a bonus at work, that they are going to Las Vegas for the weekend, that they are getting their driver's license - or anything else that they are happy and excited about!Publish Post

So we thought it would be fun to start a blog post each Thursday where all of us could share what we are looking forward to and so that we could hear what is going on with our friends.

Then last night I discovered that Shopper Gal is doing the same thing over at her fun blog so I asked her if she would like to merge into one so that our readers could find more good around us and that's where you come in! We wanted to invite you to join in as well!

We both agree that Thursdays are a great day to do this each week since a lot of people are excited about their weekend plans or something that has happened that week!

How it Works

How would you describe yourself?
Motivated, driven, reliable, dependable

How long have you been involved in your business?
We started designing our website in September and launched our business in December.

Why did you choose your particular business?
With the economy the way it is and so many women (and men) starting up a home-based business, I thought this would be a good way to help them get noticed and get their products and business names out to consumers/potential buyers who would otherwise not have known about them. I also thought this would be a good way for consumers to try out sample products from etailers without making a financial commitment for full-size products unless they know they are going to love the product! So, I thought it would be a win-win situation for sellers as well as buyers!

What keeps you motivated?
After being laid off from my job in "corporate America", I made a promise to myself that I would never go back to working a J.O.B. I keep motivated so I can keep my promise to myself! I never want to go back into that "rat-race"!

Tell us a little about your family.
I'm married to my husband, Paul, for 20 years. We just celebrated our 20th Anniversary in November! Unfortunately, he was diagnosed in May of '09 with a rare neurological disease, so we've been dealing with that over the past year and I'm his sole caretaker. I have 3 children, Kami, 24, who is a law student; Max, 16, a sophmore in high school; Nicolas, 14, an 8th grader in middle school, so my life is pretty busy!!!

How do you prioritize family and your business?
Well, I try to do most of my work during the day when the kids are in school. I work from about 8-2, taking little breaks to help my husband, and then I spend the evening hours with my family, cooking dinner, eating (we always have a sit-down dinner), watching t.v., or playing games. Then, if I still need to work, I start up again about 8 or 9 at night and work until I'm done!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Wow! I see myself as a successful entrepreneur with a booming business, possibly offering an affiliate program to others who would like to sell our sample boxes!

Biggest life lesson learned?
Never take anything for granted. When my youngest son was born we found out he had a heart defect and needed surgery the night he was born. We were so sure we were going to have a healthy baby since we had an amnio and all that, but when he was born and we found out he wasn't healthy, we realized you should never take anything for granted!

Biggest lesson you’ve learned in business?
To be honest and dependable.

What is your secret to success?
Don't promise things you can't deliver, in other words, under-promise and over-deliver.

What was your sweetest success story?
Since we just started our business, we haven't had a sweet story yet....

How do you relax?
Reading! I'm an avid reader and love to get lost in a good book!

A Little Background
Earlier in the summer, we started Show Us Your Business Wednesday and I appreciate all of the ladies that participated. Since we have some new followers, we are going at it again and let's see if we can get this shared in the business community. If you didn't join us before, no problem, we would love to have you! How it Works

Welcome to our second Show Us Your Business Wednesday of 2011!

A Little Background
Earlier in the summer, we started Show Us Your Business Wednesday and I appreciate all of the ladies that participated. Since we have some new followers, we are going at it again and let's see if we can get this shared in the business community. If you didn't join us before, no problem, we would love to have you! If you participated in the first go around, feel free to link up your previous links and browse around the new businesses.

How it Works
Every Wednesday we will have a specific topic about our business. At the end of the post, their will be a Linky so you can link up your Show Us Your Business Posts to share with the rest of us.

This will we be a weekly feature where Socialpreneurs (as defined, by yours truly, in the Urban Dictionary, as "WAHMs (dads too), Moms in Business, Etsy Shop Owners, Small Business Owners, Mompreneurs, Home Based Business Owners, Direct Sales Consultants and Bloggers who utilizes social media to promote their business, brand, or blog.") will be sharing different aspects of their business.
